Trick-or-Treat!

Published by ashleyrene at 12:50 am under Holiday Edit This

Well ladies and gentlemen, Halloween is here! One of my favorite things is handing out candy and seeing all the costumes. Some get pretty unique! I love seeing the home-made ones, their usually pretty elaborate, at least they are when my aunt makes them.

Last year she made my cousin a robot using a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants, pieces of an old vacuum, a funnel (as a hat) silver spray paint and face paint. It turned out really cool! Another year when he was much younger, she made him a spider costume and she was the web. She has some very creative ideas! And I’m looking forward to seeing what other people have come up with!

Then you have those people who save up all year to buy the most elaborate looking costume ever! Last year I saw a guy who had bought a master chief costume (from Halo) and proudly sported it in front of the haunted house we were running. We ended up inviting him back as a door man to help bring in more people, and it worked!

I think my favorite thing in general is costumes. Seeing new ones and wearing something completely different. It definitely gives room to let your creative side go, and I hope to encourage you all to go all out! Don’t be afraid of going over the top, it’s Halloween we’re talking about!
